Diversified Adjusting Technique
This is the primary techniques used in our office and is commonly called "An adjustment. This is a high velocity, low-amplitude thrust delivered by hand which restores proper movement and alignment to a joint experiencing dysfunction, decreases pain and increase range of motion. As the name implies, the Diversified Technique can be used to treat many of the joints in the body.
Impulse Adjusting Instrument
The Impulse is a hand-held, spring-loaded device, that produces a force generated with the small appliance that delivers a lighter, but quicker, thrust than can be delivered by hand. In our office, Impulse is most often used as a selective method for patients who may not desire manual adjustments or where manual adjustments may be contraindicated.
Cox Flexion Distraction
Flexion Distraction is a technique used for treating symptomatic disc injuries. This technique utilizes a specialized table that allows the practitioner to stretch and mobilize the lower back, as well as helping to rehydrate the discs.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a highly specialized stretching technique ,used to aid the adjustment in restoring joints' range of motion by focusing on the muscle and fascia layer. When these structures become tightened and shortened, they do not allow for normal joint function. Therefore, the doctor will very often address the soft tissues along with the joints.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization is a technique that uses patented tools to enhance the practitioner's ability to detect facial adhesions, while providing the patient with a faster, more favorable outcome involving acute and chronic conditions.
Kinesio® Taping
The Kinesio® Taping Method, is a specialized cotton tape made to stretch and recoil. We can increase the efficiency of healing through the help of Kinesio® Tape. When applied correctly, this tape can increase fluid flow through an injured area, provide better control over muscle contraction, reduce pain and lead to faster healing.
Physiotherapy Modalities
Physiotherapy Modalities are used in the clinic to aid in alleviating pain. These techniques include electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, heat and ice.
Dry Needling
